Many schools lack the basic resources required to provide a positive learning environment.
The School Program partners with the Ugandan Ministry of Education and local rural communities to improve physical infrastructure in universal primary schools through the construct of new classrooms, quality teacher housing, libraries, rainwater harvesting and sanitation systems. To date, the program has supported nine schools serving 4000 students. Local communities contribute 25% of the cost of all projects through in-kind donations. All infrastructure projects are done by Brick by Brick Construction Company, our social enterprise, which has completed over 200 projects throughout Uganda over the past eight years.
